New Hyundai Alcazar – Exter and Creta-Like Design Elements

A recent sighting of the camouflaged Hyundai Alcazar SUV has confirmed that it’s due to receive a mid-life update. Most of its design details were concealed under heavy camouflage, and information remains limited at this point. However, the new Hyundai Alcazar is expected to adopt the brand’s fresh design language seen in the Exter. Some of its cosmetic enhancements may draw inspiration from the Creta facelift, anticipated in early 2024.

At the front, the updated Alcazar is likely to showcase a redesigned grille, updated headlamp clusters with integrated DRLs, and a slightly tweaked bumper. While the side profile is expected to remain largely unchanged, it may sport a new set of alloy wheels. The rear section could see revisions with new LED taillights and adjustments to the bumper.

Inside the cabin, we anticipate minimal changes. The new Hyundai Alcazar facelift may offer updated upholstery, an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system, and a revised steering wheel. Advanced features, such as front parking sensors, drive and traction control modes, paddle shifters, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree parking camera, 6 airbags, a blind view monitor, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, powered driver’s seat, and a Bose sound system, are likely to be reserved for higher trim levels. The engine lineup is expected to remain unchanged. The new Hyundai Alcazar facelift will continue to be powered by the 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines, producing 160bhp and 115bhp, respectively. Both engines meet RDE standards and are compliant with E20 (20 percent ethanol blend). The turbo gasoline unit will be available with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.

Pricing for the updated Alcazar is expected to be in a similar range as the current model, which ranges from Rs 16.77 lakh to Rs 21.23 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). The SUV model lineup will continue to offer three trims – Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. Buyers will have the choice between 6-seater and 7-seater versions as well.
