Japanese automaker, Isuzu Motors has officially announced that the D-Max Hi-Lander life-style pick-up truck will be launched in the Indian market on 10 May, 2021. The company has also shared a teaser image of the new Hi-Lander lifestyle SUV on its social media channels.
The new Isuzu D-Maxi Hi-Lander will be powered by a BS6-compliant 1.9-litre diesel engine that will replace the 2.5-litre diesel engine. The new 1.9L turbo-diesel engine churns out 161bhp of power and 360Nm of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the rear wheels will come as standard.

The Hi-Lander comes equipped with halogen headlamps and blacked-out ORVMs. It misses out on features such as alloy wheels, roof rails, fog lamps and body-coloured ORVMs and door handles with chrome treatment. The new model comes with basic features such as manual air conditioning, 4 speaker audio system, a tilt steering wheel, front and rear headrests, a touchscreen infotainment system, etc.
The new Hi-Lander will receive dual airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution) and BA (brake assist), seatbelt pre-tensioner with load limiter, front disc brakes and steel underbody skid plate as standard safety features.
