Official bookings of the upcoming new Harley-Davidson Sportster S have been commenced across the nation. Its launch will take place towards the end of this year. Just so you know, the bike had its world premiere in July 2021. One of the major attractions of the new Sportster S is its new Revolution Max 1250 engine that’s made its debut in the Pan America 1250 adventure motorcycle. The muscular body panels and massive tyres are other two key highlights on the bike.

For power, the new Harley Davidson Sportster S uses 1250cc, liquid-cooled, v-twin engine that delivers a top power of 119.3bp and 127.4Nm of torque. The motor has been benefited wit DOCH (Dual Overhead Camshafts) technology and variable valve timing (VVT). The company claims that the engine provides up to 10% more torque from 3,000rpm to 6,000rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox for performing transmission duties. The cruiser bike comes with a slipper clutch and offers five riding modes (3 pre-programmed (Road, Sport and Rain and 2 custom).
The Harley-Davidson Sportster S comes equipped with Showa fully adjustable suspension and Brembo brakes. In terms of features, it offers a round 4.0-in TFT display for instrumentation and infotainment wit smarphone connectivity. The new cruiser bike has a six-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) ensuring perfect grip levels. Some of its other key features include full LED lighting, a small oblong-shaped headlamp, large high mounted exhausts, bulbous tyres, a small tail holding and cornering ABS (anti-locking braking system).

More details of the new Harley Davidson Sportster S are likely to be revealed in coming weeks. It’s expected to be priced around Rs 15 lakh – Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). That means, it will be more affordable than the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250, which is available at Rs 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
