The new 2021 Maruti Swift recently went on sale in the country. The facelifted model has received a few noticeable changes inside and out along with a new powertrain. The hatchback gets a new 90bhp, 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with a start/stop function enhancing its fuel efficiency. The new motor delivers a claimed mileage of 23.20kmpl with manual transmission and 23.76kmpl with AMT gearbox. The torque output of the new motor is exactly same as the old unit – i.e. 113Nm.
On the exterior, the new 2021 Maruti Swift gets a slightly tweaked front grille with a chrome accent. The updated model can be had in three colour options – Solid Fire Red with Black roof, Pearl Arctic White with Black roof and Metallic Midnight Blue with White roof. Features such as coloured MID, cruise control and auto folding ORVMs are reserved for the top-end trim. The hatchback also gets new fabric upholstery and new audio head unit with feather-touch controls.
