New 2021 Maruti Celerio CNG Launch In December

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio went on sale last week. Prices of the hatchback start from Rs 4.99 lakh for the entry-level LXi variant and go up to s 6.94 lakh for the fully-packed ZXi AMT model. All variants of the new 2021 Maruti Celerio are powered by the new 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10C Dualjet petrol engine benefited with the Idle Start/Stop system. The motor makes a top power of 67bhp and 89Nm of torque, thus making it 1bhp and 1Nm less powerful than the old petrol unit.

Maruti’s new Dualjet petrol engine has two fuel injectors per cylinder, higher thermal efficiency, higher compression ratio and cooled exhaust gas recirculation system along with the engine automatic stop start (EASS) system. All these technologies make it more fuel efficient. Maruti Suzuki claims that the new Celerio is the most frugal petrol car in the country. Its VXi AMT variant delivers the highest fuel economy of 26.68kmpl, the ZXi and ZXi AMT return 26kmpl. While the LXi variant returns 25.24kmpl, the VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ MT offer 24.97kmpl.

Now, the company is planning to introduce the CNG variant of the new Maruti Celerio 2021. Its factory-fitted CNG model will see a release in next month (December, 2021). The model will come with the 1.0L, 3-cylinder Dualjet petrol engine paired to a CNG kit and a manual gearbox. Features such as 15-inch alloy wheels, power folding wing mirrors, fog lamps, keyless entry and go, driver seat height adjust and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are reserved for the top-end trim. The list of standard features includes rear parking sensors, ABS, dual airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners, seat belt reminders, power steering, 12V power outlet, gear shift indicator, AC unit and idle engine start/stop tech.
