According to the AutoCarIndia, MG Hector will receive a midlife facelift in January 2021. The company had introduced the Hector SUV in the country in 2019, and is on sale for a year and a half. By giving mid-life update, MG aims to keep the Hector’s top position in the sales chart.

The MG Hector facelift will receive few design changes to keep things fresh. It will have new front grille, which has horizontal slats. The front grille will look similar to the re-badged Hector, called the Chevrolet Captiva in South American markets. The SUV will also receive a larger 18-inch alloy wheels. The current model rides on 17-inch wheels.

Inside the cabin, the MG Hector facelift is likely to receive new dual-tone theme similar to the one offered with the Hector Plus 6-seater. The SUV is also expected to receive new features including an auto-dimming IRVM. The SUV is expected to retain the existing engine options – a 1.5-litre petrol, a 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.5-litre petrol with 48V mild-hybrid system. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed DCT (1.5L Petrol Only).
