Morris Garages have already confirmed that it will announce prices of the MG Hector Plus 7-seater SUV in January, 2021. The model lineup will spread across two variants only – Super and Sharp. Unlike the 6-seater version that has captain seats in the second row with 50:50 split ratio, the 7-seater model will have bench type seats in the second row with 60:40 split ratio. The sliding function of the second row of seats will facilitate the legroom adjustment for the third row seats’ passengers.
The carmaker might make a few minor changes to the 7-seat MG Hector Plus. The Super trim comes packed with features such as LED rear fog lamps, LED taillamps, roof rails, a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with smartphone connectivity, audio system with 4-speakers and two tweeters, rear AC vents, chrome interior door handles, cruise control, electronic stability program, ABS with EBD, front and rear disc brakes, rear parking sensors and camera.
Features such as automatic headlamps, heated ORVMs, a panoramic sunroof, rain sensing wipers, a 360 degree view camera, mood lighting in 8 colours, PU-leather upholstery, a 7.0-inch MID, remote car operations, sunglasses holder, 4-way electrically adjustable co-driver seat, 6 airbags and electric handbrake are available on the top-end Sharp trim.
If reports are to believed, the British carmaker is also planning to add a new Savvy variant to the MG Hector Plus 6-seater model. The new variant will be exclusively offered with ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) and 4WD system as we have seen in the Gloster. The ADAS consists of several advanced features including adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot detection and hands-free auto parking.
The company will also give a mid-life updated to the Hector SUV in early 2021. The model will witness some significant changes inside and out. The engine setup, however, will remain unchanged.
