Tata Punch EV
Tata Motors has officially confirmed that the Tata Punch EV is set to hit showroom floors later this year, possibly in November. It will face competition from the MG Comet, Citroen eC3, and the upcoming Hyundai Exter EV. The Punch EV will be equipped with Tata’s Ziptron technology, featuring a liquid-cooled battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. Mahindra XUV.e8 electric SUV is essentially the electric version of the XUV700 and is based on the new INGLO platform. The production-ready version is expected to retain the bold design showcased in its concept form, featuring a closed-off grille, newly-designed headlamps, and copper highlights on the front grille, fog lamp assembly, wheel caps, and rear profile. The XUV.e8 could come with a larger battery pack (around 60-80kWh) and offer an impressive range of around 400km to 450km. Maruti eVX
Maruti Suzuki is also gearing up for its electric SUV, the Maruti eVX, based on the eVX concept. Like the concept, the production version is expected to feature a 60kWh battery pack, providing a range of around 500km. However, entry-level variants might come with a smaller capacity battery (around 48kWh) offering a range close to 400km.
