Launched in April 2023, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx has emerged as a triumphant card for the Indo-Japanese automaker in the country. Recently, the compact crossover achieved the milestone of one lakh sales, making it the fastest car to reach this feat. Maruti Suzuki reported that the Fronx has effectively doubled the brand’s SUV segment share, rising from 10.4 percent in 2022 to 19.7 percent in 2023. To further augment its sales performance, the company has introduced a special edition of the compact crossover, known as the Maruti Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition, boasting several cosmetic enhancements over the standard version. The Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition, essentially an accessory package, is exclusively available with the Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha variants. This pack comprises 16 accessories valued at Rs 43,000. Externally, the special edition features a grey and black styling kit, front grille garnish, headlamp garnish, ORVM cover, door visors, illuminated door sill guards, body side moulding, wheel arch garnish, and spoiler extender. Inside, it offers a red dash design mat, NeXCross Bordeaux finish sleeve seat cover, 3D boot mat, and an interior styling kit with carbon finish.
Under the hood, the new Maruti Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition is offered with the 1.0L K-Series petrol engine, available with both 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. The Boosterjet turbo petrol engine delivers a peak power of 100.06PS and 147.6Nm of torque. Additionally, the compact crossover is available with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine and CNG fuel options. The NA gasoline unit generates 89.73PS and 113Nm of torque, while with the factory-fitted CNG kit, the same engine offers 77.5PS and 98.5Nm.
Currently, the Maruti Fronx turbo variants are offered with a cash discount of Rs 30,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000. The 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol-powered variants come with a cash benefit of Rs 10,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000. It’s important to note that these offers are applicable only to the 2023 model year. The Fronx 2024 model year is eligible for a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus exclusively.
