We reported earlier that Maruti Suzuki will launch 3 new cars in the country before the end of this year. The new-gen Swift and the eVX electric SUV have already been spotted testing numerous times in India as well as on the European streets. For the first time, the new gen 2024 Maruti Dzire has been caught testing in India.
2024 Maruti Dzire Design
The new gen Swift has already been revealed for Japan and is slated to be launched in our market sometime in February-March 2024. The 2024 Maruti Dzire is likely to go on sale in the second quarter of this year. Both models will be based on the heavily modified version of Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform, which also underpins the Baleno hatchback.
Instead of a completely different design, the new Dzire will have more evolved styling with components sharing from the new Swift. The sedan will have a different large grille, a clamshell bonnet, new bumper with prominent cuts & creases, and new 5-spoke alloy wheels. The spotted model reveals that the sedan has new pillars and doors. The rear profile looks identical to the existing model; however, it has new design elements. It has a new bumper and slightly revised tail-lights.
Interior Highlights
Similar to the new Swift, the new-gen Dzire will have an all-new interior with similarities with the new Baleno hatchback. It will have an all-new dashboard layout that incorporates a new larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a semi-digital instrument console. The infotainment unit will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with connected car tech.
The 2024 Maruti Dzire will come with automatic air conditioning with toggle-style controls, a rear air-con vents and others. While the new Swift will have all-black interior scheme, the new Dzire sedan is likely to dual-tone black and beige interior.
The new gen Dzire is likely to receive the brand’s new 1.2L 3-cylinder Z-series natrally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 82bhp and 108Nm of torque. With new Swift, the engine is claimed to offer an impressive fuel efficiency of 24.5kmpl. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT or a CVT.
