Mahindra & Mahindra is ready to launch a new three-row SUV during 2021 festive season. Called the Mahindra XUV700, the model will be positioned against the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar. Here’s a brief engine specification based comparison between the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Alcazar.

The South Korean carmaker has confirmed that the new Alcazar will come with the 2.0L, 4-cylinder engine sourced from the Tucson and Elantra. Though, the motor will be tuned for producing a maximum power of 159bhp and 192Nm of torque. That means, the new Hyundai three-row SUV will be 7bhp more powerful than the Tucson.

Powering the Alcazar diesel will be a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo unit pushing out a peak power of 115bhp and 250Nm of torque. The same oil burner does duty in the Hyundai Creta 5-seater.
