Mahindra XUV700 SUV – 11 Variants, Segment’s Most Powerful Engines

According to a fresh media report, the upcoming new Mahindra XUV700 will be offered in a total of 11 variants. Engine setup of the model will include a new 2.0L, 4-cylinder mFalcon turbo petrol and a 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk diesel unit. The petrol motor will deliver power close to 190bhp and the oil burner will be good enough for 185bhp. That means, the XUV700 will be more powerful than its arch rivals including Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar.

While the Tata Safari has been powered with the 170bhp, 2.0L Kryotec turbo diesel engine, the MG Hector Plus comes with the 143bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and 170bhp, 2.0L diesel engine options. The upcoming Hyundai Alcazar, on the other hand, will be offered with the 152bhp, 2.0L petrol and 115bhp, 1.5L diesel engines.

One of its major interior attractions will be the Mercedes-Benz inspired dual screen layout that will work as a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument console. The new Mahindra three-row SUV will come with power adjustable seats for driver and front passengers. While the driver seat could be 8-way adjustable, the co-occupant seat might come with 6-way adjustment options. The higher trims will be exclusively offered with factory-fitted panoramic sunroof and leather wrapped dashboard, steering wheel and gear knob.

Reports suggest that the Mahindra XUV700 will be made available with 6 and 7-seats configurations. The 6-seater version will come with the captain seats for the second row and the 7-seats model will feature bench-type seats for the middle row with 60:40 split ratio.
