Mahindra XUV700 Records 1.5 Lakh Bookings In 10 Months; 2 Years Waiting Period

Mahindra had started accepting bookings for the XUV700 SUV on October 7, 2021. Since then, the company has received over 1.5 lakh bookings for the new Mahindra XUV700. The SUV was launched on August 15, 2021 at an introductory price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The introductory prices were applicable on the first 25,000 bookings.

The prices of the new Mahindra XUV700 has been increased by up to Rs 2.20 lakh. The SUV is now available in the price bracket of Rs 13.18 lakh to Rs 24.58 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model has been receiving excellent response from buyers. The company is facing supply constraints and is unable to meet the rising demand. Mahindra had delivered 42,000 units of the XUV700 by June 2022.

Mahindra XUV700 Variants

The Mahindra XUV700 SUV is available in two trims – MX and AX. The former is available with 5-seater version, while the AX trim is offered in 5 and 7-seat layout. The top-spec XUV700 AX7 automatic variants are offered with an optional Luxury pack. The Luxury Pack offers additional features like a 360 degree camera, wireless phone charging, electrically deployable door handles, an electronic parking brake and blind spot monitor.

The new Mahindra XUV700 is being offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The gasoline engine churns out a maximum power output of 200bhp and a peak torque of 380Nm. The diesel powertrain offers two states of tunes – 155bhp and 360Nm, and 185bhp and 420Nm. With automatic gearbox, the torque output increases to 450Nm. The AX diesel models offer 4 drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom.

Mahindra Plans For India

The homegrown automaker has announced to showcase 5 new electric SUVs on August 15, 2022. These 5 models will include a coupe SUV, a mid-sized electric SUV and compact electric SUVs. The company will launch the XUV400 electric SUV based on the XUV300 platform before the end of this financial year. Mahindra has confirmed to launch 5 new electric SUVs by 2025-26. Adding to it, Mahindra will also launch the 5-door Thar and the XUV300 facelift in 2023.
