Mahindra XUV700 Production Might Start In July – Tata Safari Fighter

Mahindra XUV700 is surely one of the much-awaited new car launches of this year. Recently, the carmaker released the first teaser video showing revealing some of its interesting details. The video confirms that Mahindra’s new three-row SUV will feature LED headlamps with high-beam assist that’s named – Auto Booster headlamps. These will be adaptive units that activate automatically once the vehicle crosses 80kmph of speed. The adaptive headlights are additional safety fitments, which are usually offered on Audi and BMW cars.

A new image from the Mahindra’s Pune based manufacturing facility is circulating on social media. The poster reads “The Future is Here…And I am Proud to be a Part of it…”, “31 Days to go”. It suggests that the Mahindra XUV700 might enter into production towards the end of July 2021. Its launch is likely to happen in August or September. Here, it will be placed against the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the newly-launched Hyundai Alcazar.

Based on the W601 platform, the new Mahindra 7-seater SUV is reported to come with the new 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk diesel and 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engines. While the oil burner will deliver power close to 185bhp, the oil burner will make 190bhp. This will make the XUV700 the most powerful SUV in its segment. The spy pictures confirm that the Mahindra XUV700 will be packed with some segment first features including a dual display set (one for the infotainment and one of the instrument cluster), electronic parking brake, automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof. The higher trims will be exclusively offered with the Level 2 autonomous driving assist systems (ADAS). It includes features such as lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and more.

The overall silhouette and shoulder line of the new Mahindra 7-seater SUV will be similar to the XUV500. Though, it will get noticeable cosmetic updates such as a new, more upright grille, differently designed headlamps with LED DRLs, revised hood, bumpers, a new set of alloy wheels and redesigned taillamps and tailgate.
