Mahindra & Mahindra unveiled the XUV700 5/7-seater SUV on 14th August 2021. It also marked debut of the brand’s new logo and the most powerful diesel and petrol engines. The automaker has already announced prices of the 5-seater model that start at Rs 11.99 lakh and go up to Rs 14.99 lakh. Official variant details and their prices will be officially revealed in the month of October. Prior to its launch, the Mahindra XUV700 has started arriving at dealerships across the nation.
According to leaked information, the new Mahindra SUV will be offered in a total of 29 variants spread across four trims – MX, AX3, AX5 and AX7. There will be 13 variants with 5-seats configuration and 16 variants with 7-seats layout. While the former will be priced from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh, the latter one will be made available in the price range of Rs 13.19 lakh – Rs 20.69 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. One must note that the entry-level MX trim will come with 5-seats layout only and the top-end AX7 trim will be exclusively offered with 7-seats configuration.
Mahindra XUV700 Review
Engine setup of the Mahindra XUV700 includes 2.0L, 4-cylinder mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel unit. It’s the most powerful petrol engine in its segment. The gasoline unit makes a top power of 200bhp and 380Nm of torque. The diesel motor comes in two states of tune – 155bhp with 360Nm (for the entry-level MX trim) and 185bhp with 450Nm (for the AX trims). The range-topping AX7 diesel-automatic variant gets AWD as standard. There are four drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom, which are reserved for the diesel variants. The new Mahindra 5/7-seater SUV can be had either with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
