Mahindra XUV300 EV Might Come With ADAS – Nexon EV Fighter

Mahindra & Mahindra has planned a range of new SUVs for the Indian market including EVs. While the company is ready to announce prices of the new Scorpio-N SUV on coming 27th June, the XUV300 EV will be the next electric car launch from the home-grown automaker. If reports are to be believed, the production-ready electric iteration of the subcompact SUV could be named – Mahindra XUV400. It’s likely to witness a market launch in early 2023.

Interestingly, the Mahindra XUV300 EV will be longer than its ICE counterpart. The model will measure 4.2 metres in length and its likely to offer slightly extra boot space. The wheelbase will remain intact. The carmaker might equip the electric SUV with some new features such as ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The ADAS suite could be borrowed from the XUV700. It includes adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic emergency braking and driver drowsiness system.

The Mahindra XUV300 EV could be made available with 350V and 380V battery options delivering range of around 200km and 375km respectively. A few cosmetic changes will also be made to the electric SUV. Its Blue accent on the front bumper and near around headlamps will highlight its electric nature. Compared to the regular XUV300, the electric Mahindra XUV400 will have differently styled grille, front and rear bumpers, alloy wheels and taillamps.

In terms of pricing, the electric subcompact SUV is likely to cost between Rs 15 lakh – Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take directly on the Tata Nexon EV.
