Mahindra Bolero, Bolero Neo Prices Hiked; Neo Plus Coming Soon

Mahindra & Mahindra has increased prices of its top-selling SUV Bolero by Rs 22,000. The SUV model lineup comes in B4 and B6 variants which get expensive by Rs 20,701 and Rs 22,000 respectively. The automaker has also hiked prices of the Mahindra Bolero Neo N4, N10 and N10 (O) by Rs 18,800, Rs 21,007 and Rs 20,502 respectively. Recently, both SUVs arrived at dealerships with the brand’s new Twin Peaks logo placed on the front grille, wheel hub caps, tailgate and steering wheel.

Talking about the engine, the Mahindra Bolero comes with a 1.5L diesel engine that’s good for 75bhp and 210Nm. The Bolero Neo uses a 1.5L diesel motor pushing out power worth 100bhp and 240Nm of torque. Both models get a 5-speed manual gearbox. In the coming months, the home-grown automaker will introduce the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus with the Thar’s 2.2L mHawk diesel engine and two gearbox options. Though, the motor could be de-tuned for the three-row SUV.

The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus will be made available in 7 and 9-seats configurations along with an ambulance version with 4-seats and a patient bed. There will be two variants – P4 and P10 – which are expected to cost around Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12 lakh respectively. The SUV will measure 4400mm in length, 1795mm in width and 1812mm height. It will sit on a 2680mm long wheelbase.

After the Bolero Neo Plus, the company will roll out the Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV that’s slated to arrive in January 2023. It will be the brand’s first pure electric SUV that will come with a 39.5kWh battery pack delivering 148bhp and 310Nm. It’s claimed to do 0 to 100kmph in 8.6 seconds and offers a maximum speed of 150kmph. The XUV400 promises an electric range of 456km (MIDC) on a single charge.
