Mahindra BE.05 Revealed In Production-Ready Avatar – Details

Here’s the first official images of the Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV. However, the model has been showcased in its prototype avatar with heavy camouflage all around the body. Its final production version is slated to hit Indian roads by October 2025. Once launched, the new BE.05 electric SUV will go head-to-head against the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Curvv EV, which are due for early 2024. Key Design Highlights:

As one can notice, the prototype features a coupe-like roofline along with C-shaped LED DRLs at the front. Moving to its side profile, the electric SUV has squarish wheel arches and ‘BE.05’ graphics on the front door. The tail section appears short, featuring slim LED taillights. The interior of the new Mahindra BE.05 is still a mystery to us. However, it’s likely to have a futuristic layout with dual display screens.

Mahindra INGLO Platform:

The BE.05 will be a pure-electric car underpinning the INGLO platform, claimed to be lightweight, modular, and compatible with augmented reality-enabled HUD, 5G network, OTA updates, and edge-to-edge screens. This modular, skateboard architecture will support 60-80 kWh battery packs that can be charged up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes via a fast-charging 175kW charger.

Mahindra’s new INGLO platform is compatible with both AWD (all-wheel drive) and RWD (rear-wheel drive) systems, delivering power between 228bhp – 282bhp and 335bhp – 389bhp, respectively. It’s said to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in between 5-6 seconds.
