KTM 250 Adventure Vs G310 GS Vs Himalayan Vs XPulse 200

The long-awaited KTM 250 Adventure is all set to enter into the Indian market, as the motorcycle has recently been spotted at a dealership. It will be the second KTM Adventure bike in our market and will challenge a wide range of motorcycles in the affordable Adventure 2-wheeler segment. In this article, we compare the new 250 Adventure specifications with the BMW G 310 GS, Hero XPulse 200 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

– The BMW G 310 GS has recently received a major price cut; however, it didn’t bring any big change in terms of styling or features. It is one of the finest-looking entry-level Adventure bikes on sale in India. The bike has full-LED lighting system and golden-colour front forks. BMW is also offering multiple colour options with the G310 GS, which is inspired from the bigger BMW ADV bikes.

– The locally developed RE Himalayan and the Hero XPulse 200 are designed and developed for adventure/off-road purpose. Both bikes look good with old-school round headlamp design and large windscreens. The XPulse also comes fitted with full-LED headlamp.

BMW G310 GS specs

– All 4 motorcycles offer upright riding position with centre-set footpegs. The Himalayan and the KTM 250 ADV comes with split seats, which are missing in the BMW G310 GS and the Hero XPulse 200.

– The RE Himalayan and the Hero XPulse 200 are purpose built motorcycles, featuring taller handlebars than the 250 ADV and the G 310 GS.

– The RE Himalayan has a low seat height of 800mm, which makes it suitable for even a short height rider. On the other hand, the 250 ADV offers a seat height of 855mm. With this seat height, it will be tough for shot riders to ride this motorcycle. Adding to it, the bike offers a ground clearance of 200mm.
