KTM 250 Adventure Bike Launching Soon – Price Expectations

The Austrian bikemaker is planning to expand its Indian portfolio with the all-new KTM 250 Adventure tourer in coming weeks. – Once launched, the new KTM adventure bike will take directly on the Royal Enfield Himalayan that costs between Rs 1.91 lakh – Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Price of the KTM 250 ADV is expected to be around Rs 2.3 lakh – Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

– The upcoming KTM 250 adventure motorcycle is based on the 390 Adventure and shares most of its design bits with its bigger sibling. In fact, both tourers have fuel tank capacity of 14.5-litres.

– Styling elements such as radiator, split seat, underbelly cowl and LED taillamp are carried over from the 350 ADV.

– Compared to its bigger sibling, the new KTM 250 Adventure bike features the conventional bulb with larger and wider LED DRLs. The bike offers 5.5-inch TFT instrument cluster.

– The 200mm of ground clearance and 855mm of seat height enhance its touring and off-road capabilities. The upcoming KTM adventure tourer rides on 19/17-inch wheels shod with MRF Mogrip FM2 tyres.

– Talking about the suspension system, the KTM 250 Adventure bike has inverted forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear.

– Stopping power comes from the 320mm and 230mm front and rear disc brakes respectively. The adventure motorcycle also comes with switchable dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) with Supermoto mode.

– As far as the engine is concerned, the adventure tourer sources its power from the 248.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that’s borrowed from the naked 250 Duke. The unit has been tuned for generating power worth 29.6bhp at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,500rpm.

– For performing transmission duties, the new KTM adventure tourer has a 6-speed gearbox.
