In January 2021, Kia Motors Corporation revealed its new corporate logo and the brand’s new slogan – “Movement that inspires”. Ho Sung Song, Kia’s president and CEO said that the company’s new logo represents its commitment to becoming an icon for change and innovation. Kia’s new logo will debut on the Sonet subcompact SUV and Seltos compact SUV in coming weeks. In fact, the Kia Sonet with the brand’s new logo has started arriving at dealerships across the country.
The Kia Seltos Gravity Edition featuring multiple cosmetic enhancements over the standard model and Kia’s new logo is scheduled to launch on 27th April, 2021. For people not in the know, the Seltos Gravity Edition is already on sale in the South Korean market. On the exterior, the model features a chromed grille with 3-dimensional design elements, newly-designed 18-inch machined alloys and silver finish on ORVMs, doo r garnish and rear skid plate.
Inside, there will be a grey colour scheme with a bunch of new features. The Seltos Gravity Edition will be based on the top-end trim and is likely to be offered with the available all three engine options. The compact SUV will soon receive two new variants – iMT HTK+ and Turbo GTX (O). The iMT gearbox will be made available with the 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine that comes with the 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox options. The new Seltos GTX (O) trim will get a panoramic sunroof. It will be powered with the 140bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol engine and the 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic gearbox options.
Recently, the carmaker added two new variants to the Kia Sonet model lineup – HTX DCT petrol and HTX AT diesel. The HTK+ DCT turbo petrol and HTK+ AT diesel variants have been discontinued. At present, the Kia Sonet is the top-selling SUV from the South Korean carmaker in India, followed by Seltos and Carnival MPV.
