2021 Volkswagen Polo Facelift To Be Unveiled On April 22: Teased

Volkswagen has officially announced to unveil the 2021 VW Polo facelift on April 22. The company has released a new teaser image of the Polo facelift, which reveals new paint scheme and re-styled headlamp. SEAT has recently released the updated Ibiza, which shares a lot with the Polo hatchback.

The mid-life facelift will increase the life of the Polo hatchback in global markets, which was introduced in 2016. The company is reportedly working on the next generation model, which is expected to be launched in 2023. The teaser reveals that the new Polo will have redesigned front grille and sharper bi-LED headlamps. There is an illuminated LED strip that runs through the grille with large VW badge positioned in the centre.

The illuminated lights are added to create a visual connection between the LED DRLs, which also have a separate boomerang-shaped motif at the corners of the headlights. The design looks similar to the bigger Golf sibling. The 2021 VW Polo facelift will have revised bumpers, updated LED tail-lamps, and new alloys.

Technical details of the new VW Polo facelift are yet to be revealed, but it is expected to share the petrol-only engine line-up with the 2021 Seat Ibiza. Few reports suggest that VW could also present the Polo GTI or TGI versions of the Polo hatchback. Adding to it, the CNG version of the hatchback could also be introduced.

It is also expected that the 2021 Volkswagen Polo facelift will come with tablet-styled infotainment system, which was introduced in the Ibiza last week. Significant design changes will be made to the centre console to accommodate the infotainment system, as the air vents will be positioned lower on the center console.
