Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition Leaked – Key Details Here

Kia Sonet subcompact SUV was introduced in September 2020 and received its first update in May 2021. The compact SUV has been doing really well for the automaker in terms of sales. The model has completed its first successful year in the country and to commemorate the occasion the company is planning to bring in its Anniversary Edition. The Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition is likely to arrive in coming weeks (i.e. during this festive season).

Prior to its official launch, details of the SUV’s limited edition have been leaked on the web. As per the leaked brochure scan, the Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition will be offered in four colour schemes – Silver Steal, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl and Gravity Grey. It will be based on the HTX AE variant and get a few cosmetic enhancements over the regular model. The Sonet’s new limited edition features Aurochs front skid plate with Tangerine Orange accents. Its front grille has also been highlighted with Tangerine Orange accents.

Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition Features

Save for the Tangerine paint scheme, the interior of the Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition remains unchanged. Its feature list will be similar to the regular HTX trim that includes leatherette steering wheel and gear knob, cruise control, keyless entry and go, rear centre armrest, rear seat adjustable headrest, sunroof, Isofix child seat mounts, remote engine start, LED front and rear DRLs, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, projector fog lamps and auto LED headlamps.

Similar to the regular HTX trim, the new Sonet limited edition will be offered with 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines making 118bhp with 172Nm and 100bhp and 240Nm respectively. While the former can be had with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, the latter comes with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission options.

One must note that the Sonet Anniversary Edition will be on sale till March 2022. Its prices are expected to be slightly higher than the regular HTX trim. Keep watching this space for more details.
