Kia Motors India is ready to expand its product portfolio with the all-new Sonet subcompact SUV that’s salted to hit roads on coming 18th September. The carmaker has already revealed key features and details of the vehicle. During its media drive, the company unveiled an accessorized version of the Sonet featuring lots of chrome garnish on the exterior.
For buyers who would further like to spruce up their compact SUV, the carmaker will be offering a range of official accessories at an additional cost. Read on to find out the several customization options that will be offered on the upcoming Kia Sonet.
The accessorized Sonet looks sportier than the standard model. You can notice chrome garnish around the front fog lamps, ORVMs, door sills and handles, optional door visors and over the pronounced wheel arches. The chrome treatment continues at the rear section. The model also features glossy black faux hood vents, fake vents, branded metal plates in the door sills, chunky side steps and side vents with chrome finish placed behind the front wheel arches. The taillamps, rear reflectors and boot lit with chrome garnish add more to its accessorized looks. The carmaker might also several interior accessories with the Sonet, which are likely to be revealed during its launch.
To be offered in two trims (Tech Line and GT Line), the Kia Sonet will be sharing its engines with the Hyundai Venue. There will be a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol (82bhp), a 1.0L turbo petrol (118bhp) and 1.5L turbo diesel (113bhp) engine. Read – Kia Sonet Vs Hyundai Venue
The 1.2L petrol unit will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox and the diesel motor can be had either with a 6-speed manual or a torque convertor automatic gearbox. Transmissions include a new 6-speed iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic unit will be reserved for the turbo-petrol variants.
