Kia Seltos, Sonet HTK Plus AT Variants To Be Discontinued In April

Kia Motor India will soon discontinue HTK Plus automatic variants of the Sonet subcompact SUV and Seltos SUV. According to a leaked document, the Kia dealers will stop accepting bookings for the Sonet HTK+ 1.0L petrol DTC, HTK+ 1.5L diesel AT and Seltos HTK+ 1.5L AT from 1st April, 2021. These variants will be discontinued from mid of this month. The carmaker says that the decision of the trim rationalization is based on feedback and booking trends. Kia Sonet is currently available in the price range of Rs 6.79 lakh – Rs 13.19 lakh. Its HTK+ petrol DCT, HTK+ diesel AT have been priced at Rs 10.49 lakh and Rs 10.59 lakh respectively. While the petrol model costs between Rs 6.79 lakh – Rs 12.99 lakh, the diesel version is priced from Rs 8.25 lakh to Rs 13.19 lakh.

2020 Kia Seltos Price List

Prices of the Kia Seltos start from Rs 9.89 lakh for the base variant and go up to Rs 17.45 lakh for the top-end trim. Its HTK+ AT D variant has been priced at Rs 13.79 lakh. The Seltos petrol can be had within the price range of Rs 9.89 lakh – Rs 17.29 lakh and the diesel model is priced between Rs 10.35 lakh – Rs 17.45 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.

In other updates, the South Korean carmaker is gearing up to launch the Kia Seltos Gravity Edition on 27th April 2021. The upcoming new edition will look sportier than the standard model, thanks to the cosmetic enhancements. Similar to its Korea-spec model, the Indian version is likely to feature a chrome studded front grille, newly-designed alloys, revised rear skid plate, and grey interior theme. It’s likely to come with the existing three engine options.

In March 2021, Kia Motor India recorded a sales growth of 122% with total sales of 19,100 units against 8,583 units of the same month previous year.
