The Alfa Romeo and Fiat models are likely to be based on Stellantis’ CMP (Common Modular Platform) platform. In fact, the upcoming Jeep electric SUV will also be based on the CMP platform. The CMP platform is versatile enough to accommodate different body styles and powertrains including battery-electric and internal-combustion powertrains. This platform currently underpins the DS3 crossback and Opel Mokka. In fact, the upcoming Citroen C3 hatchback will be based on this platform.

Jeep is serious about electrification and is setting up charging stations in global markets. The company has already announced to have an electric option in all its cars by as early as 2025. Most of the upcoming Jeep electric SUVs will be based on the dedicated EV platforms. The company will have different versions of this platform – STLA Small, STLA Medium, STLA Large and STLA Frame. The SUVs will offer range starting from 300 miles (483kms) to 500 miles (804kms).

Stellantis has confirmed that it will have close to 75 electric nameplates by 2030. The company has also teased an electric Ram 1500, which is scheduled to make debut in 2024.
