American automaker, Jeep will launch the Compass Limited Plus Edition in the Indian market on September 20. Unofficial bookings for the SUV have already been commenced at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. If latest media report is to be believed, Jeep dealers are promising to start delivering the Compass Limited Plus around Navratra which begins October 10.
Besides electric sunroof, the Jeep Compass Limited Plus Edition will have a dual-tone exterior. It also gets a bigger 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and electrically adjustable seats for driver and front passenger. This model rides on bigger 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Jeep Compass Limited Plus Edition will be offered in two engine options – 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre Multi-Jet II diesel. While the former is capable of producing 162bhp of power and 250Nm of torque, the oil burner is good for 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. The Limited Plus Compass is likely to cost up around Rs 1.5 lakkh to Rs 2 lakh more than the regular Limited variant, which cost Rs 20.36 lakh for Limited (O) 4×2 diesel and Rs 21.35 lakh for the Limited (O) 4×4 variant.
