Prices of the Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition start from Rs 11.64 lakh (petrol) and Rs 12.85 lakh (diesel).

Hyundai Motor Company had commenced its Indian operations with the Santro hatchback in 1998. Now, the South Korean carmaker has completed 20 successful years in the country. To commemorate the occasion, the carmaker has introduced a special edition of its top-selling mid-size sedan – the Verna. Called the Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition, the limited edition is based on the SX trim and available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

While the manual petrol version of the Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition is priced at Rs 11.64 lakh, the automatic model costs Rs 12.83 lakh. The diesel variant, on the other hand, is made available at Rs 12.85 lakh (MT) and Rs 13.20 lakh (AT). All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Dealers have started taking pre-orders for the Verna’s special edition. On the exterior, the Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition gets special anniversary edition badging, blacked out ORVMs, silver skid plates at front and rear, shark fin antenna and a sporty boot spoiler. Hyundai has also upgraded the interior of the limited edition. The new model gets an electric sunroof and a wireless phone charger. Since it’s just a special edition, no mechanical changes have been made to the car. The Hyundai Verna Anniversary Edition uses the same 1.6L petrol and diesel engines that are good for 123bhp with 151Nm and 128bhp with 260Nm respectively. Hyundai India is also offering exchange benefits of up to Rs 20,000 on the Verna sedan. One can also avail corporate benefits of Rs 20,000 along with free third party insurance for second and third year.
