Engine setup of the Hyundai Venue includes three BS6-compliant motors (2 petrol and 1 diesel). The 1.0 liter turbo GDI petrol engine pushes out a peak power of 120PS and 172Nm torque. It can be had with three gearboxes – a 6 speed manual, a 6 speed iMT and a 7 speed DCT. The 1.2 liter Kappa Dual VTVT petrol unit is good enough for 83PS and 115Nm. It comes paired to a 5-speed manual.
The diesel variants use a 1.5 liter motor returning a claimed power of 100PS and 240Nm torque. The oil burner comes with a 6 speed manual gearbox. The Venue’s arch rival – Kia Sonet comes with the same set of powertrains. Though, its turbo-petrol and diesel models miss out on the 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox respectively.
