Hyundai Sales Grew By 14.91% – Exter Ready For Launch

Hyundai Motor India recorded YoY sales growth of 14.91 percent in May 2023. The company managed to retail 42,293 units in the domestic market against 42,293 units in the corresponding month last year. Though, it witnessed a slight MoM sales decline when compared to April 2023. The South Korean automaker exported total of 11,000 units last month. The new-generation Verna along with the top-selling Creta, Venue and Grand i10 Nios helped the company achieve cumulative sales of 59,601 units. These figures are expected to be higher for the coming months as Hyundai is all set to bring in the Exter micro SUV on 10th July 2023.

Buyers will have five trim options – EX, S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect. The micro SUV will come with 1.2L petrol engine pushing out a peak power of 83bhp and 114Nm of torque. The same gasoline unit can be had with the factory-fitted CNG kit. In CNG mode, the Hyundai Exter will offer power worth 69bhp and 95.2Nm of torque.

Hyundai Exter Safety Features

The model lineup will be made available in 6 monotone and 3 dual-tone colour schemes. The single tone shades include Fiery Red, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Cosmic Blue, Starry Night and a new Ranger Khaki. The dual-tone schemes will be based on Cosmic Blue, Atlas White and Ranger Khaki.

After the Exter, the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift will be next major product launch from the South Koran automaker. The SUV will receive significant updates inside and out. Some of its design elements will be inspired by the new Verna. Its engine setup will include a 1.5L diesel, a 1.5L petrol and 1.5L turbo petrol. Reports suggest that the carmaker will also introduce the Creta N Line in the first quarter of 2024. The model is likely to come with the 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine.
