Hyundai Micro SUV (Ai3) Launching Soon – Teaser Released

Hyundai Motor India is gearing up to bring its all-new micro SUV (codenamed Hyundai Ai3) in the country. The model is reported enter into production by early July and go on sale by August 2023. Ahead of its market arrival, the carmaker has released the first teaser image of the compact SUV with a quote “Coming soon to take you places”. It will be the smallest and most affordable SUV offering from the South Korean automaker in India. The new Hyundai micro SUV will be put up against the Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.

The upcoming Hyundai micro SUV will be designed on the Grand i10 Nios’ K1 platform and share some of its design bits with the Casper that’s sold in South Korea. It will feature the brand’s new design language and carry upright and boxy stance.

The model will have a split headlamp setup with LED DRLs featuring an ‘H’ pattern and circular fog lamps. The steel wheels will be offered on the lower variants and the higher trims will get alloy wheels. The Hyundai Ai3 mini SUV will also come with angular taillamps. As of now, there is no interior details. Though, the new Hyundai micro SUV  is likely to be equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a sunroof, automatic climate control, connected car tech and rear AC vents.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Ai3 might house a 1.2L petrol engine that makes a top power of 83bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. It’s the same motor that powers the Grand i10 Nios hatchback. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are expected to be on offer.
