Hyundai i20 N Line India Launch Soon – What To Expect?

Hyundai India will soon expand its product portfolio with two new models – Alcazar three-row SUV and i20 N Line hot hatch. Hyundai Alcazar, based on the Creta, is scheduled to make its global debut on coming 6th April. While the official launch details of the Hyundai i20 N Line are yet t be revealed, the model is reported to hit roads towards the end of 2021. In fact, the carmaker has been testing the vehicle for quite sometime in the country.

In global markets, the Hyundai i20 N Line is offered with a new 1.6L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine under the hood. It has been benefited with an uprated turbocharger and intercooler, a 350 bar fuel injection system and Hyundai’s new CVVD (Continuously Variable Valve Duration) technology. The hot hatch delivers a claimed power of 204bhp and 275Nm of torque. The India-spec model, however, will come with the 120bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine. Compared to the standard model, the hot hatch will have more agile suspension setup and sportier exhaust note.

Sportier Looks

Compared to the regular model, the performance-oriented i20 N Line looks sportier. Its design has been inspired by Hyundai’s i20 World Rally Championship car. The hot hatch features differently designed front and rear bumpers, black grille with a unique pattern and pronounced N Line badge. The additional skirtings with a grey contrasting stripe and a chrome twin-exist exhaust add more to its appearance. Its global-spec version is being offered in four paint schemes – Brass, Phantom Black, Polar White (with optional Black roof) and Aurora Grey. ‘N Line’ Specific Interior

Interior layout and features of the Hyundai i20 N Line are exactly similar to the standard i20. Though, the sport front seats, contrast red stitching, pronounced N badging, N branded leather gear knob, metal pedals and a bespoke steering wheel distinguish it from the regular model.
