Hyundai i20 N Line India Launch In September – Confirmed

Hyundai has released a new teaser revealing its new N Line performance brand for the Indian market. The Hyundai i20 N Line will be the first model under the new N Line brand in our market. At an online press meet, Hyundai officials have also confirmed that the first N Line car, which is the i20 N Line will be launched in the month of September 2021.

The Hyundai i20 N Line was introduced in the global markets in 2020, and is on sale in select markets. The company has already started road testing of the hatchback. In terms of styling, the hatchback shares design elements from Hyundai’s N performance arm. The hot hatch comes with a sportier front, featuring a re-styled bumper, a blackened grille with a prominent  “chequered flag” pattern and a striking N Line badge. It also gets additional skirtings in a grey contrasting stripe.

The rear profile of the i20 N Line comes with new bumper, a triangular shaped fog lamp, and a chromed twin-exist exhaust. In the international markets, the hot hatch is offered in 4 colors – Phantom Black, Aurora Grey, Polar White and Brass. It features a newly styled dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the 2021 Hyundai i20 n line will come with prominent N badging and contrasting red stitching throughout, new sport front seats, a bespoke steering wheel, metal pedals and N gear shift knob with red inserts. The new i20 N Line will be refined in  terms of suspension, engine response and exhaust sound.

It will be powered by the 1.0-litre T-GDI 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that also powers the regular i20, Venue and the Kia Sonet. This engine is capable of producing 113bhp of power and 172Nm of torque. It is likely to be offered with a single 7-speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission).
