Hyundai AX1 Will Be Brand’s Smallest & Most Affordable SUV

Hyundai has been working on an all-new mini SUV (codenamed AX1) that will be positioned against the upcoming Tata HBX concept based vehicle. It will also face challenge from cars like Maruti Ignis and Mahindra KUV100. Its production-ready version will make its global debut in coming months. The new Hyundai mini SUV will be first launched in South Korea, followed by other global markets. As of now, there is no official information on its India launch timeline

Smaller Than Venue

The upcoming Hyundai AX1 mini SUV is likely to measure around 3.7-3.8m in length, thus making it significantly shorter than the Venue. The latter one is 3,995mm long, 1770mm wide and 1590mm tall. The micro SUV will be the smallest SUV from the South Korean carmaker in the country. The model might underpin the brand’s K1 platform, which is already used by the Grand i10 Nios and Santro hatchbacks.
