Honda NX200 Adventure Motorcycle Launching Tomorrow

Honda 2Wheelers India is all set to introduce its new entry-level adventure motorcycle tomorrow. The new adventure bike will be based on the Hornet 2.0. It is rumoured to be called the Honda NX200, as the name has recently been trademarked in India. The company has also released multiple teasers, which confirms that the new motorcycle will be an upcoming ADV.

The new Honda NX200 will share styling elements and the platform from the Hornet 2.0 roadster platform. Not just platform, the new Adventure motorcycle is likely to share features, design elements and mechanism with the Hornet 2.0. The teasers shows LED headlight and Knuckle-guard integrated front turn indicators at the front.

Honda NX200 Teased

The new Honda NX200 will have a tall windscreen and a semi-fairing design to protect rider against windblasts. It is most likely to feature split style seats and a two-piece pillion grab rail. The new motorcycle is most likely to be the re-badged version of the CBF190X, which is on sale in China. The motorcycle will receive some India-specific changes. The new adventure motorcycle will be more road-specific, and will offer decent capabilities for occasional off-roading.

To be based on a new diamond frame chassis, the new Honda NX200 is most likely to source the engine-gearbox combination with the Hornet 2.0. It is expected to be powered by a 184.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled fuel injected engine with Honda’s Honda’s programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI) with Honda Eco Technology (HET). The PGM-FI consists of 8 on-board sensors that constantly inject optimum fuel and air mixture to the engine. The petrol unit makes a top power of 17.2bhp at 8,200rpm and 16.1Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.

The motorcycle is expected to feature around 19-20-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel. For braking, the adventure motorcycle could receive the 276mm front petal disc and 220mm petal rear disc brakes with single-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System).The motorcycle will feature USD front forks and an adjustable monoshock at the rear.
