Honda NX200 Adventure Bike Coming On August 19, 2021: Teased

Honda 2Wheelers India has released a teaser video for a new adventure motorcycle, which will be launched in our market in next couple of months. The new motorcycle is rumoured to be called the Honda NX200, as the name has recently been trademarked in India. The teaser reveals new details, including a glimpse at a few design highlights of the upcoming ADV.

The front fascia of the new Honda NX200 shares styling elements from the Honda Hornet 2.0, which suggest that the touring motorcycle will be based on the roadster platform. Not just platform, the motorcycle is most likely to share features, design elements and mechanics with the Hornet 2.0.

The teaser video reveals that NX200 has an LED headlight and knuckle-guard integrated front turn indicators at the front. Also visible is a tall windscreen and a semi-fairing design that should protect rider against windblasts. The Honda NX200 adventure bike is most likely to offer split style seats and a two-piece pillion grab rail.

Previous reports suggest that Honda could introduce the CBF190X, which is on sale in China. The motorcycle will be re-badged for Indian market, and is likely to receive some India-specific changes. The motorcycle will be more road-specific, and will offer decent capabilities for occasional off-roading.

To be based on a new diamond frame chassis, the new Honda NX200 is likely to share the engine-gearbox combination with the Hornet 2.0. It is expected to be powered by a 184.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled fuel injected motor with Honda’s programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI) with Honda Eco Technology (HET). The PGM-FI consists of 8 on-board sensors that constantly inject optimum fuel and air mixture to the engine. The petrol unit makes a top power of 17.2bhp at 8,200rpm and 16.1Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.

The new Honda NX200 is likely to feature around 19-20-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel. For braking, it could get the 276mm front petal disc and 220mm petal rear disc brakes with single-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The motorcycle will feature USD front forks and an adjustable monoshock at the rear.
