Ford India has launched the new SE Variant of the EcoSport compact SUV. The Ford EcoSport SE is available in petrol and diesel versions, priced at Rs 10.49 lakh and Rs 10.99 lakh respectively.
The new Ford EcoSport SE variant shares design cues from its American & European variants. It misses out on a rear-mounted spare wheel, and features a conventional tailgate. The 2021 Ford EcoSport SE variant comes with new tailgate and dual-tone rear bumper that sports a silver applique. The SUV gets a bold front grille and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The Ford EcoSport SE also features an easy to use puncture kit that will enable owners to repair tyre damage within minutes, without removing the tyre from its slot. The new SE variant is based on the Titanium trim. It comes equipped with Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with Ford PassTM integration.
FordPassTM is a one-stop smartphone app meeting diverse ownership needs, at no additional cost. With a factory-fitted cloud-connected device, EcoSport owners can perform several vehicle operations — like starting, stopping, locking or unlocking remotely, via the FordPassTM app.
The new Ford EcoSport SE variant is available with two engine options – a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder TiVCT petrol and a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel. While the former is capable of producing 122PS of power and 149Nm of torque, the oil burner is good for 100PS of power and 215Nm of torque. Both the engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The 2021 Ford EcoSport comes equipped with six airbags, SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility on the SE and top-spec S variants, a 9-inch touchscreen based infotainment & embedded navigation, a factory-fitted sunroof including the new SE variant, automatic HID headlamps, DRLs, electrochromic mirror, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start, etc.
