Ducati Multistrada 950 S Adventure Tourer Launched In India

Ducati has launched the long-awaited new Multistrada 950 S motorcycle in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India), the new Ducati Multistrada 650 S is available in the Ducati Red Color. Bookings for the new motorcycle have commenced across all Ducati dealerships, while deliveries will begin by 2nd week of November.

Powering the Ducati Multistrada 650 S is a 937cc, L-twin ‘Testastretta’ DVT engine that is capable of producing 113bhp of power at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 96Nm at 7,750rpm. The liquid-cooled engine has four valves per cylinder and bore and stroke measurements of 94mm and 67.5mm respectively. The bike comes with advanced Ride-by-Wire system and new hydraulic control system. The 950 S comes with Ducati QuickShift Evo as standard. The Multistrada 950 engine has maintenance intervals of 15,000 km, with valve clearance inspection at every 30,000 km.

The motorcycle looks largely identical to the regular Multistrada 950; however, the 950S gets new side wings inspired from the Mulistrada 1260. The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 tyres.

The Ducati Mulistrada 950 S features distinctive horzontally extended headlamps, the beak, adjustable screen, side wings and tank, which are inspired from the Multistrada 1260. The rider’s seat, passenger seat, rear grab rail, the design of the exhaust and swingarm and the wheel sizes are, instead, inspired from the Multistrada 1260 Enduro. The Ducati Multistrada 950 S fly screen allows for one-handed vertical adjustment within a range of 60mm. There are two 12 V power sockets, one beneath the passenger seat and the other in the dashboard zone. There’s also a USB port underneath the seat, which can be used to charge smartphones.

The Ducati Multistrada 950 S comes fitted with features like Bosch Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), and the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension, which continuously adjusts fork and shock absorbers, Ducati Cornerning Lights and Cruise Control. The bike gets a full-LED headlight, 5-inch colour TFT display, a Hands-Free system, Cruise Control and backlit switchgear controls.
