BMW India has launched the first-ever X3 M high-performance SUV in the country. Priced at Rs 99.90 lakh, the new BMW X3 M is available across BMW dealerships as a completely built-up unit (CBU).
Powering the BMW X3 M is a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder in-line engine that features M high-revving character, latest M TwinPower Turbo technology update and track-tested cooling & oil supply systems. This engine is capable of producing 480bhp of power and 600Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via the xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 4.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 250kmph.
The M xDrive system has a rear-wheel bias & offers 4 driving modes. The X3 M comes with M-specific suspension, featuring double-joint spring strut front axle and five-link rear axle. The X3 M features the signature BMW kidney grille with black double bars. The typical M gills are integrated into the air-inlets on the front flanks. It gets M design ORVMs to reduce aerodynamic drag. As standard, the performance SUV gets 20-inch M light-alloy wheels. The M-Style cockpit design for the interior has electrically adjustable sports seats with memory, Vernasca leather upholstery, ambient lighting, an M-specific instrument console & a restyled M selector lever. It gets a large panoramic sunroof, 40 20:40 split-folding rear backrest and offers a maximum luggage carrying capacity of 1,600-litres.
In terms of safety, the first-ever X3 M gets front and side airbags, dynamic stability control including M Dynamic Mode, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control, Dry Braking function, Cruise Control with braking function along with Collision & Pedestrian Warning with City Braking function. The SUV gets Adaptive LED headlights, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, High Beam Assistant & Parking Assistant. There is BMW Head-Up Diplay to show M-specific content.
The X3 M features a 12.3-inch MID, iDrive Touch Controlled, BMW virtual assistant, telephony with wireless charging & hi-fi speaker system. The SUV gets 21-inch light alloy wheels, BMW Display Key, M Sport exhaust, M Driver’s package & Harman Kardon Surround Sound System as optional.
