The Xpeng P7 electric sports car features 80.9kWh battery and offers an electric range of 706kms on a single charge.
We reported earlier that Chinese automaker BYD has revealed an all-new Yuan electric vehicle that is basically the clone of the Ford EcoSport compact SUV. A new copy of the globally popular Tesla Model 3 electric model has also been revealed by the Chinese automaker – Xpeng Motors.
Xpeng Motors, the Chinese automaker is all set to introduce its initial public offering (IPO) on a US stock exchange. The Guangzhou based Chinese startup plans to raise $500 million to stand against the globally popular Tesla.
Xpeng Motors was first introduced in 2017 with the backing of brands like Alibaba Group and Xiaomi. This brand always remain in controversies as it keep on copying Tesla products and technologies including Autopilot autonomous driving system and the Tesla’s online configurator.
This time, Xpeng Motors has revealed an all-new promising P7 sedan that is also expected to be launched in global markets. This electric sports car is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 4.3 seconds. Featuring 80.9kWh battery, the new model is claimed to cover 706 kilometers on a single charge (NEDC cycle).
What’s more interesting is that the new Xpeng P7 sedan looks identical to its rival Tesla Model 3. The Model 3 has good popularity in the Chinese market; however, it will soon have a tough competition in the form of Xpeng P7. The electric sports car will be launched in China in June 2020.
