June is going to be super exciting month for the auto enthusiasts as there be several new car launches including 3 much-awaited SUVs. Here’re key details of the upcoming new cars, which have been confirmed for June 2022.
Volkswagen Virtus
Volkswagen India has confirmed it will announce prices of its new mid-size sedan – Virtus – on 9th June 2022. The model lineup will be offered in two trims – Dynamic Line and GT Line – and 1.0L TSI petrol and 1.5L TSI petrol engines. Both motors will be available with three gearboxes – 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG. The all-new Volkswagen Virtus has been designed on the MQB-A0-IN platform that’s designed specially for the emerging markets like India. The model comes packed with features such as an 8-speaker audio system, a 10-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof and more.
New Hyundai Venue
The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift is ready to hit showrooms on 16th June. The SUV’s updated model carries Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design language along with minor cosmetic updates including wider stance, a new grille with dark chrome and connecting LED taillamps. The new Venue is likely to come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, Bose audio system, a 360 degree camera, front parking sensors and ventilated front seats. The subcompact SUV will continue to be available with a 1.2L NA petrol, a 1.0L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel engine. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT automatic.
Mahindra Scorpio-N
Prices of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV will be announced on 27th June 2022. The model will be positioned as premium as the Mahindra XUV700 and share its engine and features with it. For power, the new Scorpio-N will use the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines that can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. Both petrol and diesel engines will be available with the optional AWD system. In terms of features, the new Scorpio-N will offer an 8-speaker 3D Sony audio system, electrically adjustable front seats, a 360 degree camera, a sunroof and more. The SUV might also be equipped with the ADAS suite as we have seen in the XUV700.
New Maruti Brezza
Official launch date of the second-generation Maruti Brezza is yet to be announced. Though, a fresh media report claims that the model will go on sale on 30th June 2022. Compared to the current model, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza will have more features and fuel efficiency to offer. The SUV will come with the updated 1.5L K15C Dualjet petrol engine with a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic and a 5-speed manual gearbox. The motor has two injectors per cylinder that enhances its mileage. Noticeable changes will be made to its exterior as well. Reports suggest that the new Brezza could be capable to achieve top safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests.
