Official bookings for the upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross SUV have been commenced across the country. Interested customers can place an order by paying an initial sum of Rs 50,000 at the company’s La Maison dealership or the Citroen India website. Buyers who will book the SUV between 1st March to 6th April will get a complementary maintenance package of 5 year/50,000km. Under this offer, the deliveries will be made up to 30th June, 2021. The company is offering a standard 3 year/1 lakh km warranty along with the roadside assistance.
The C5 Aircross will be Citroen’s flagship model in India that will be imported via CKD route and assembled at the CK Birla plant in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. The carmaker has already confirmed that the Citroen C5 Aircross will be offered in two variants – Feel and Shine – and a single diesel engine option. The SUV will derive its power from a 2.0L, 4-cylinder diesel engine paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The oil burner pushes out a maximum power of 177bhp and 400Nm of torque. It offers a claimed fuel economy of 18.6kmpl (ARAI-certified).
The SUV’s standard feature kit offers several goodies including an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual zone climate control, powered driver seat, auto dimming inside rear view mirror, 12.3-inch digital instrument screen, 6 airbags, traction control, electronic stability program, rear view camera, hill descent and hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, auto headlamps with wipers, halogen headlamps with LED DRLs, hands free parking and more. The Citroen C5 Aircross Shine variant comes with three additional features, namely, a panoramic sunroof, hands free tailgate opening and LED headlamps. The SUV has rear bench seat with three individual seats setup and each one of them can be individually folded or adjusted as per the requirement. The overall length, width and height of the new Citroen SUV stand at 45000mm, 1969mm and 1710mm respectively.
