After introducing the BSVI compliant Ninja 650 and Z 650, Kawasaki has launched the new 2020 Versys 650 in the Indian market. The BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is priced at Rs 6.79 lakh, which makes it Rs 10,000 expensive than its BS4 version. The updated model is available in a single candy lime green colour option.
While the 2020 Ninja 650 had received decent updates like revised styling and a new TFT display, the Versys 650 remains largely unchanged. The BS6 Kawasaki Versys 650 is powered by the BSVI compliant 649cc, liquid-cooled parallel twin engine that produces 69bhp of power and 61Nm of torque. Based on the diamond frame chassis, the BS6 Kawasaki Versys 650 gets the same adjustable and long-travel 41mm dia separate function front fork and a monoshock unit at the back. For braking, the motorcycle gets petal disc brakes and dual-channel ABS system. The Versys 650 offers a massive fuel tank of 21-litres. The motorcycle comes equipped with a larger windscreen with a 60mm adjustable range without using any tools. The Versys 650 rides on 17-inch wheels shod with sport tyres. The motorcycle also gets a gear indicator as standard. It offers a ground clearance of 170mm and a seat height of 840mm.
