As the year 2023 draws to a close, leading automakers including Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra, Skoda, Renault, and Nissan are enticing customers with substantial discounts and benefits on their popular models. This is a customary industry practice aimed at clearing existing stock before the year-end and boosting sales. Notably, both Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra & Mahindra are presenting attractive discount offers on their respective SUVs. Here’s a breakdown of the offers available for those considering a new Maruti or Mahindra SUV:
Starting with Maruti, the Jimny lifestyle off-road SUV headlines this month’s most significant discount offers. Prices for the model have been reduced by up to Rs 2.21 lakh on both Zeta and Alpha variants. The recent introduction of the Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition enhances its appeal for buyers. Initially, the Zeta MT, AT, and Alpha MT and AT variants were priced at Rs 12.74 lakh, Rs 13.94 lakh, Rs 13.69 lakh, and Rs 14.89 lakh, respectively. The Alpha dual-tone models were tagged at Rs 13.85 lakh (MT) and Rs 15.05 lakh (AT).
Buyers can benefit from a cash discount of Rs 15,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 on Maruti Fronx compact petrol variants. The Maruti Grand Vitara offers total benefits of up to Rs 30,000, comprising a Rs 15,000 cash discount and a Rs 15,000 exchange bonus. No discounts are offered on the Maruti Brezza.
Shifting focus to Mahindra SUVs, the XUV300 and XUV400 EV are currently subject to substantial discounts of up to Rs 4.2 lakh. The Mahindra XUV400 EL variants (without ESC – electronic stability control) are available with discounts of up to Rs 3.2 lakh, while the lower EC variant comes with benefits of up to Rs 1.7 lakh. Customers can secure discounts of Rs 1.72 lakh on the top-end Mahindra XUV300 diesel variants (W8 and W8 (O)).
The W6 variant comes with benefits of Rs 1.4 lakh, while the W4 trim is available with a discount of Rs 59,000. Benefits ranging from Rs 45,000 to Rs 1.63 lakh are offered on the entry-level, turbo-petrol variants of the Mahindra XUV300. Notably, both these Mahindra SUVs are ready to receive a mid-life update early next year.
