Best Mileage Cars Under Rs 10 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki WagonR CNG– 34.05kmpl
The Maruti WagonR is one of the top-selling car and most best mileage cars in India. The hatchback is currently available with two petrol engines – 1.0L and 1.2L – delivering power worth 7bhp and 90bhp respectively. The 1.0L gasoline motor is also available with the CNG kit, producing a peak power of 57bhp. Though, the factory-fitted CNG option can be had with the entry-level LXi and mid-spec VXi trims. Maruti Suzuki claims that the WagonR 1.0L petrol offers a mileage of 24.35kmpl (manual) and 25.19kmpl (automatic). Its 1.2L petrol version returns fuel efficiency of 23.56kmpl (manual) and 24.43kmpl (automatic). The WagonR CNG LXi and VXi variants offer 34.05km/kg and cost Rs 6.43 lakh and Rs 6.88 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG – 30.61km/kg
Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG, which was launched last year, is available with the 1.2L, 4-cylinder K12N Dualjet petrol engine and a factory-fitted CNG kit. The setup returns a claimed power of 77.5bhp and 98.5Nm of torque. The carmaker says that the Baleno CNG promises a fuel economy of 30.61km/kg. The hatchback has a CNG tank of 55-litres, fitted in the boot. There are two CNG variants – Delta and Zeta – priced at Rs 8.30 lakh and Rs 9.23 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio – 27kmpl
The Maruti Celerio comes in four trims – LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ – powered by a new 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10C Dualjet petrol boosted with idle start/stop system. The motor pushes out a peak power of 67bhp and 89Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The Celerio VXi AMT variant is claimed to deliver a mileage of 26.68kmpl that costs Rs 6.37 lakh. The hatchback model lineup is currently available within the price range of Rs 5.35 lakh – Rs 7.13 lakh.
Tata Tiago CNG – 26.40kmpl
The Tata Tiago hatchback is being offered in six variants – XE, XT, XZ, XZA, XZ+ and XZA+. All variants derive power from a 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that’s good enough for 86bhp and 113Nm. Both manual and AMT gearboxes are on offer. With CNG kit, the petrol motor delivers 73bhp and 95Nm. The Tiago CNG offers a fuel efficiency of 26.49km/kg. The hatch model lineup has five CNG variants – XE, XM, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Dual-tone – priced at Rs 6.44 lakh, Rs 6.77 lakh, Rs 7.22 lakh, Rs 7.95 lakh and Rs 8.05 lakh respectively.
Hyundai Aura CNG – 25kmpl
The updated Hyundai Aura was launched earlier this year. It comes in five petrol and two CNG variants. The regular 1.2L petrol motor makes a top power of 83bhp and 114Nm of torque. With the factory-fitted CNG kit, it delivers a claimed power of 69bhp and 95Nm of torque. It’s paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Mileage figure of the Aura CNG stands at 25kmpl. The S and SX CNG variants are being offered at Rs 8.10 lakh – Rs 8.87 lakh respectively.
