Audi e-tron GT Prices Revealed – Features, Range, Top Speed, Power

The Audi e-tron GT, the second electric car from the German carmaker, has finally hit Indian shores. The model is being offered in two variants – e-tron GT Quattro and RS e-tron GT – priced at 1.79 Rs crore and Rs 2.04 crore respectively. Earlier this year, the company introduced the e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback electric SUVs at Rs 99.99 lakh Rs 1.16 crore and Rs 1.18 crore respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.

Range, Power, Top Speed

Powertrain system of the new Audi e-Tron GT includes two permanently excited synchronous machine (PSM) electric motors, fitted at the front and rear axles. The electric motors are paired to a 2-speed gearbox and come with electric AWD (all-wheel drive) system. There is an 85kWh lithium-Ion battery delivering a WLTP range of up to 488 kilometres. The battery pack, which has been boosted with an 800-volt technology, supports fast DC charging with an output of up to 270kW.

The entry-level Audi e-tron GT quattro returns a claimed power of 469bhp (350kW) and a maximum torque of 630Nm. The top-end RS e-tron GT produces a peak power of 590bhp (440kW) and 830Nm of torque. Interestingly, the e-tron GT Quattro and RS get power boost of up to 523bhp and 637bhp respectively for 2.5 seconds, thanks to its launch control system. While the former can do 0 to 100kmphh in 4.1 seconds and offers a top speed of 245kmph, the latter accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 3.3 seconds and delivers a maximum speed of 250kmph. Sportier Design

Compared to the standard e-tron, the Audi e-tron GT looks sportier with elements such as matrix LED headlamps (standard), Audi laser light (optional) and the signature e-tron pattern panel. The electric sport coupe are available with multiple wheel size options ranging from 19-inch to 221-inch with aero blades. Some of its other key highlights include elongated hood, flat windshield, sloping roofline, inclined C-pillars, visually offset diffuser and LED taillamps with arrowhead-shaped LED light signature. Its rear spoiler has integrated spoiler lip running parallel to the light strip.

Interior Features

The interior layout of the new Audi e-tron GT shares resemblance to the Gran Turismo. The driver and front passenger seats, which are separated by a wide centre console, are installed in a sporty low position. The electric sport coupe comes with a 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen display with the latest smartphone connectivity and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a virtual cockpit. Audi has equipped the e-tron GT with AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) custom software offering unique exhaust sounds. It has three modes – Efficiency, Comfort and Dynamic – for broader, fuller with better quality and more powerful sound. One must note that the AVAS system provides separate exterior and interior sounds.
