The popular Tata Altroz hatchback has received two new trims – XM & XM(S). These two trims are available only with the 1.2-litre petrol engine with manual gearbox option. The Altroz XM variant is priced at Rs 6.90 lakh, while the XM(S) variant is tagged at Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Tata Altroz variants are packed with features like a factory-fitted electric sunroof, a height adjustable driver’s seat & others. Adding to it, the rest of the variants of the Altroz also come equipped with new features as standard.
The Tata Altroz XM variant is equipped with features like a multi-functional steering wheel, a height adjustable driver’s seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs and others. It rides on 16-inch steel wheels with wheel cover. On the other hand, the new Altroz XM (S) trim gets a factory-fitted sunroof. Customers can also opt for a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen as an optional extra.
The all petrol-manual variants of the Altroz hatchback now comes equipped with four power windows and keyless entry as standard. The hatchback’s other petrol variants include XE, XM+, XM+(S) and XT. The entry-level XE variant comes with follow-me-home headlamps, while the XM+ and XM+ (S) now features a reverse camera, height adjustable driver’s seat and cruise control. The top-spec XT trim now comes with a height adjustable driver’s seat, 16-inch hyperstyle wheels and a rear defogger.
The Tata Altroz hatchback directly rivals the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Toyota Glanza. The i20 hatchback is priced between Rs 7.46 lakh and Rs 11.88 lakh, while the Baleno is available in the price bracket of Rs 6.61 lakh to Rs 9.88 lakh. The Glanza is priced between Rs 6.81 lakh and Rs 10 lakh.
