All-New Honda CR-V Rendered Based On Spy Images

We reported earlier that Honda has started testing the next generation CR-V SUV, which is most likely to make global debut in 2022. The all-new Honda CR-V is expected to be based on an all-new Honda global architecture, which is rumoured to make debut with the new-gen Honda Civic.

Digital artist, Kleber Silva has released a couple of renderings of the all-new Honda CR-V. The renderings are based on the spy images, which reveals the possible design. The new model will grow in size, which is also evident in the testing prototype. The SUV will have extended rear overhangs and is expected to offer seat for 7-adults.

The rendering shows that the all-new Honda CR-V will continue to offer angular profile. The design seems inspired by the new-gen HR-V. The SUV has longer, flatter hood and a larger signature Honda grille. The SUV has slimmer headlamp with integrated LED DRLs, and LED fog lamps. The SUV could also receive split headlamp setup in a production avatar.

The spotted model had door mounted wing mirrors, while the existing SUV had column A mounted ORVMs. The SUV will have prominent crease that runs across the length to merge the rear. The SUV will grow in size and will offer more space inside the cabin. The render has uniquely styled rear profile with C-shaped tail-lamps and a light bar that connects the two tail-lights. It will also get shark fin antenna and roof-integrated spoiler. The cabin will also receive all-new design and will feature tablet-type touchscreen infotainment system.

The current model is available with hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants, and the same is expected with the next-gen CR-V as well. Adding to it, the new model will also receive a pure electric version for the several global markets. The SUV is also expected to feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged VTEC engine with CVT gearbox.
