Maruti Suzuki is ready to give a mid-life update to its entry-level Celerio hatchback in November 2021. Select dealers have already begun taking bookings at a token amount ranging between Rs 5,000 – Rs 11,000 (which is fully refundable). Recently, the hatchback was caught on camera during its TVC shoot in Pune.
Painted in Red colour scheme, the spotted new 2021 Maruti Celerio carries new oval front grille with honeycomb pattern, newly-designed triangular-shaped headlamps and revised front bumper. You can notice a chrome strip just above the grille that connects the headlamps. The fog lamp surrounds and apron are well merging with the black treatment done on the lower front section. The ORVMs have integrated turn indicators.

The tall stance seems to be replaced with the angular elements. The new Maruti Celerio 2021 appears bigger than the current generation. The previous spy images reveal that the updated model will have newly-designed alloy wheels, angular side creases and a bigger window area along with the long tapering roofline. Interior of the new 2021 Maruti Celerio is likely to be revised with the newly-designed dashboard, new upholstery and centre console. It might also get a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The list of features will also include a digital multi information display, a multi functional steering wheel, electrically adjustable ORVMs, keyless entry and more.
Under the hood, the new Maruti Celerio 2021 is reported to feature a new 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10C Dualjet petrol engine instead of the 69bhp, 1.2L unit. Rumour has it that the new engine will offer the best-in-segment fuel economy of 26kmpl. The new Celerio will be designed on Suzuki’s new Heatect platform that will make it lighter, safer and more rigid than the existing model.
