Maruti Suzuki has recently updated the new Brezza compact SUV, which has received OTA (Over-The-Air) update. The OTA update enables wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, HUD with turn-by-turn navigation and others. The company has now rolled out a software update for the new Maruti Baleno hatchback, which was launched in February 2022.
The top-spec Zeta and Alpha variants of the Maruti Baleno has received the over-the-air update. The 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system that gives access to new features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The hatchback now supports turn-by-turn navigation on the heads-up display and the MID in the instrument cluster.
Customers can install new features via OTA (Over-the-Air) updates via smartphone or download from the website. We expect the similar updates will also be offered to the Maruti Suzuki XL6 MPV.
In terms of features, the new Maruti Baleno comes with heads-up display, a 360 degree camera, automatic AC, LED fog lamps, height adjustable driver seat and Suzuki Connect tech with more than 40 features. For safety & security, the hatchback gets 6 airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, etc.
It is powered by a 1.2-litre dual-jet 4-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 89bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT. It is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 22.95kmpl. Available in 4 variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, the new Baleno is available at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
